Arrgh!

Aidan is finishing February's pirate unit with Pirate Day today. I took a picture of him smiling, then he said, "No, pirates don't smile. Pirates are angry and make angry faces." So here are his angry faces:

They made the t-shirts with bleach pens. It turned out really cute! In an angry-pirate way, of course!

Happy Birthday, Clutch!

We took Marian and Aidan to their first Rockets game yesterday. It was Clutch's (the mascot) birthday celebration, so they were excited!

Aidan was so amazed that Clutch was on a motorcycle.
Denied!

As an extra perk, Michael Jordan was at the game (he has something to do with the other team--manages or part-owns or something). By the time Thomas and I figured out what the buzz was about, he was on the other side of the court again. He's in the tan jacket.

Just the Boys

This Saturday, Becky spent the day with Marian working on Marian's science project for school. Here's a shot of the finished product:

I took the boys out of the house to give them some space to work. The day goes better when they start things on good terms.

Aidan is always happier when they wear matchings PJs or clothes. He also likes to sit in the middle row of the car next to Brennan.
At the park:

Playground at Chick-fil-A. Brennan mostly stays on the ground level and laughs at the other kids.
Home, making an "Aidan sandwich":

Seeing Spots

Poor Brennan. He broke out with hives last Thursday in a reaction to his antibiotic. He also had some severe swelling in his knees (and hot to the touch), that was extremely painful for him. As the days went on, the swelling moved to his feet and hands, with times when his toes were purple. It was a little scary for us to see. It is all wearing away now, but it's still pretty visible on his face. And of course, the readings today at church were referencing leprosy. Nice...

Friday morning, spots were spreading, but not severe--yet!

Saturday at the doctor's office. A fever had started Friday night, too. Another cause for concern. But it seems to have disappeared by Sunday night. We'll see!

Ship Channel Pirates

We went on a boat tour of the Ship Channel today with some friends from preschool (the school is closed today for a teacher workshop). No cameras allowed on the boat, so here they are hanging out at the dock. They had fun, but the best part was apparently the bathroom (a total of 4 visits on the 90 minute ride).
