Just Fed Face

When Marian was about this age, she would get what we called her 'just-fed face' where her tongue would stick out just a bit. Evan gets his own version of it, more lizard-like, where his tongue darts in out of the corners of his mouth.

Deep in the Heart of Texas

The 4th grade class gave us a night all about Texas, including several songs and Texas Mother Goose poems (by David Davis).

Marian's group recited "Breakfast with Humpty Dumpty".

"Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the ranch cowboys and all the vaqueros
Got a big breakfast of huevos rancheros!"

Aidan's Mini Olympics

Aidan's class showed us a routine involving cartwheels, backbends and somersaults.

Then he had some free time to play around. He still doesn't quite have the nerve to jump off the high platform into the pit, so he 'steps' off it. (The mats are actually way behind even thogh they look like they are just under his foot.)

Brennan's Mini Olympics

Brennan had his last day of Mommy & Me gymnastics.
It will be interesting to see how he does next year when it's just the kids and the teacher in the gym. Will he sit still and wait his turn? That remains to be seen...

The pit has become a new favorite
Balance beam and trampoline have always been top on his list.

Baby Who?

Brennan has nothing but love for Evan (aka "Baby Albin"). In fact a little TOO much at times--the hugs could stand to be a little gentler! But if a baby toy/device is not being used by someone else, Brennan has no problem filling the role of baby.

Evan on May 15th

Aidan was helping us get some smiles from Evan.
His adoring gaze is aimed right at him.

And Aidan adores him right back!
