ER check

We took Evan to the hospital Tuesday night to check for dehydration, mostly because when I called the doctor's office, the nurse freaked out at me and they didn't have any more open appointments. He kept down what they gave him at the hospital, so they just sent us home with a prescription in case he did vomit again. Which he didn't.

But he was pretty cute in his hospital gown!

Mr. Independent--Or so he thinks!

Evan is on the verge of walking, but for now, crawling is working for him just fine. He surprised me a few weeks ago by showing up back at the bottom landing when I had last seen him climbing halfway up the stairs. So, he has mastered climbing down the stairs, but still manages to get himself into some places that he doesn't know how to get out of. Like the stroller. More than once I've heard his plaintive cries and come to find him stranded in the stroller (which, for now, is parked in our empty dining room).

Just waiting for the day he figures out how to make the "wiggle"car move--he'll be one hapy camper!

Miss Manners

Marian's school had their manners banquet on Friday--an excuse to get all dressed up!

Aidan is trying his hand at soccer, and is really enjoying it! He's far more aggressive on the field than I imagined he would be. He even scored the team's first goal of the season!!

The turkeys and chickens were a big hit. One of the turkeys was gobbling, but it really sounded more like a dog barking than a gobble.

This goat made the rest of us look like fools, shivering in the 30 degree temps. With a little smile on its face!

Brennan enjoyed it, but really just wanted to be wherever his friend Jacob was. So as long as we could corral Jacob, we had Brennan. But Jacob is definitely the fearless leader of the pack, and would take off to go see something that caught his eye at any moment. It was a little crazy even with the adult-to-kid ratio that we had (I think it was 1:1).

Ice Day

We got zero of the 1-3 inches of predicted snow. :( But the ice is reason enough to call off school and stay inside!
